Gideon Lorr is finished, kind of. There’s still a few bits and bobs I’d like to add to him, but I’m away for the next two weeks so it will have to wait until I’m back :). Here’s how he looks…
My Models
Warhammer 40k – Inquisitor Lorr Almost Done!
Warhammer 40k – Inquisitor Lorr Progress!
Warhammer 40k – More Inquisition!
After cracking through the Inquisitor commission, and the Eisenhorn/Ravenor books I’ve still got the bug for painting up a few more of these bad boys 🙂
Since I won’t be using them in games I decided to work towards something that I could sell on, once they are done, so went with the current cheese of an Inquisitor and 3 servo skulls!
Gideon Lorr is one of those models I’ve always loved, even if he is just a slightly different sculpt to the witchhunter I’ve just finished, so decided he would be a good place to start 🙂
Kings of War – Abyssal Dwarf Characters Finished!
Cracked through these guys fairly quickly, as I found they really grabbed my enthusiasm 🙂
Continuing on with the basing experimentation I added some snow (which I’ve done a fair few times before), but decided to add something I’ve never tried; icicles! They were fairly time consuming to get done, but I’m really chuffed with how they turned out…
Kings of War – Abyssal Dwarf Characters!
With having got into a lot of Mantics games I thought I’d have a wee splash into Kings of War. I stopped playing WFB when 8th ed came out, as me and my gaming buddies were not fans of the changes, and I haven’t played a fantasy game since. And since I haven’t been playing a fantasy game, haven’t really painted any fantasy figures. Time to fix that…
After looking through the armies available it was between the Abyssal Dwarves and the Basileans, but the new gargoyles and golems pushed the Abyssal Dwarves into the lead. With an army in mind I picked up the 3 character box from my local retailer(£10 it cost me! £10 for 3 characters!!) and picked these two as the centre of my focus for now 🙂
I’ve decided to experiment a wee bit with some new basing techniques on these and some future models, with the focus being on building up some rock formations with some thin cork I’ve had lying around for a while.
Deadzone – Nastanza
Another cracking model in the Deadzone range, Nastanza, is now finished and ready to blow some heads clean off…
Took a wee bit of time to decide on a scheme for this one. I knew I didn’t want to go with the ‘official’ scheme, but really didn’t have a clue what to do. It was the backpack that did it for me, as it kinda looks like the tail-end of a wasp, I thought yellow and black could look pretty damn good 🙂
Deadzone – Wrath
Deadzone – The Survivor
Deadzone – Time to Paint Some Mercs!
Before I move onto another faction I’d like to get the Mercs I have painted and ready to play…
So far I have Nastanza, Wrath and the LE Survivor to paint. The plan is to do the survivor in similar colours to the Rebs and Wrath in a kind of opposite colour scheme – Red armour with white detailing. Nastanza I’m not sure on, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out before I’ve finished the other two 😀
