After cracking through the Inquisitor commission, and the Eisenhorn/Ravenor books I’ve still got the bug for painting up a few more of these bad boys 🙂
Since I won’t be using them in games I decided to work towards something that I could sell on, once they are done, so went with the current cheese of an Inquisitor and 3 servo skulls!
Gideon Lorr is one of those models I’ve always loved, even if he is just a slightly different sculpt to the witchhunter I’ve just finished, so decided he would be a good place to start 🙂
Its interesting to me that you are enthusiastic enough to paint a very similar model – a variant really – so soon after the last one. As you dont have a brief for this one, what palette are you planning?
It’s been years of built up enthusiasm for Inquisitors, that’s never been adequately dealt with 😀
I thought I’d paint this chap up in almost the same colours as the last one for 2 reasons. Firstly I really enjoyed painting it and think it looks bad ass, and secondly I want to see how different the model will look considering the relative similarities in the sculpt.
I understand the need to scratch that Inquisitorial itch 🙂
Do you still have the other Witch Hunter model for a side-by-side shot when they are both done?
Unfortunately not, already on its way to the client 😦
Might do one with the pics I already have though, should give the same result
