I’m really chuffed with how they all look together and cant wait to take ’em out for their first Tourney tomorrow. Don’t worry I’ll make sure I let you all know how they get on. I’ll also need to give you a look at their shiny new pitch, which arrived just in time 🙂
I’ve been working on the rest of the Gamma Slammer players in order to get them ready for the tournament this Saturday, and am pleased with the progress so far….

The tournament allows an extra 20mc of goodies, and I’ve already decided that means I’ll be taking an Offensive coordinator (that’s where Orcy comes in) and 2 coaching dice. This allows me to make the most of the extra with nothing left over. It is also the best option for a Marauder team in my opinion. The coach means the Gobbos have a much greater chance of being able to pick up, get to the strike zone and throw in one rush, and the extra coaching dice means they have a much better chance of turning that throw into some points. The Orx on the other hand don’t really need any help, all they need to do is cause some carnage :D.
No, its not a childrens book I’m writing :), after having my eye on Warmachine for a while but not being able to settle on a faction, I noticed this chap and just fell in love with the model:

Having not played the game properly (have had a demo which I thoroughly enjoyed), I stuck with the rule of cool for my faction choice, which will mean a Cygnar list built around this chap once I get into it a bit more. My plan at the moment is to get the Cygnar starter box and learn to play with that and then expand the force from there, once I have a better idea of what everything does 😀

Everything went pretty well with my last clearout, its now time for the second lot. I’m getting rid of most of my 40k stuff, primarily because I’ve not been enjoying the game of late. Don’t get me wrong, I love the universe and the miniatures but it’s becoming too expensive to get a good size force and I feel the rules themselves are a little too bloated and geared towards the latest release for my liking. Secondly it means money to push into the games I am enjoying and get started in games I’m interested in, the main one of which will be Warmahordes :D.

The Silver Centurions so far
Not only the Gamma Slammers got some reinforcements this week, the Silver Centurions also received some love. First up their new Coach, Mr Renton himself! I’ve gone with the Enforcer and Anne-Marie Helder for the first of the MVPs to be painted, and there going to be in semi-Centurion colours. I’ll just be replacing the majority of the silver with gold instead, to make ’em that little bit more flashy :D. Here’s how they look so far:
