This week I’ve been hard at work trying t add more reinforcements to the Empire see of my Imperial Assault set, still on that quest to providing a fully painted mission to my campaign players. The first thing I’ve been working on is some Viper Probe Droids…

Great models, but horrible to clean old lines from and I think they may need repaired often as they are only loosely attached to that base. These show off what I’m doing with the rim of my bases well though. Grey for standard deployments and red for the elite deployments, and as with previous groups I’ve used ProTech Models stencils to differentiate any that are the same.

I also tackled another group of Stormtroopers…

I want all my standard groups of Stormtroopers to be standard, run of the mill white but for the elite groups I wanted to do something a bit different. For this group I chose to do them as Shadowtroopers. I was inspired by a cloaking device upgrade that I have received in the campaign, and to keep things thematic I’ve decided I’ll only use it on this group. For the next elite group I think I’ll be doing them as Shocktroopers 🙂
