Welcome to my latest painting guide! This time covering the epic Cable and Domino. I’ve really been looking forward to this pair. Cable is one of my favourite models from MCP so far, with so many cool elements to get stuck into.

Prep: Fully build both models, but do not glue Cables energy shield to his base. Undercoat black.
Cable
Stage 1
Kantor Blue: Apply a basecoat to the bodysuit.
XV-88: Apply a basecoat to the leg armour and straps.
Incubi Darkness: Apply a basecoat to the shoulder guard and boots.
Bugman’s Glow: Apply a basecoat to the skin.
Steel Legion Drab: Apply a basecoat to the cloak.
Dryad Bark: Apply a basecoat to the pouches and shoulder strap.
Leadbelcher: Apply a basecoat to the gun, arm and buckles.
Celestra Grey: Apply a basecoat to the hair.
Retributor Armour: Apply a basecoat to the shells on the shoulder.
Mephiston Red: Apply a basecoat to the chest X.
Energy Shield Stage 1
Temple Guard Blue: Apply a basecoat to the shield.
Mephiston Red: Apply a basecoat to the impacts and explosions.
Stage 2
Caledor Sky: Apply a layer to the bodysuit.
Averland Sunset: Apply a layer to the leg armour and straps.
Thunderhawk Blue: Apply a basecoat to the shoulder guard and boots.
Cadian Fleshtone: Apply a layer to the skin.
Karak Stone: Apply a thinned layer to the cloak.
Nuln Oil: Apply a shade to the gun, arm, buckles and chest X.
Ulthuan Grey: Apply a layer to the hair.
Agrax Earthshade: Apply a shade to the shoulder shells.
Energy Shield Stage 2
Baharroth Blue: Apply a layer to the energy shield.
Trollslayer Orange: Apply a thinned layer to the explosions.
Skavenblight Dinge: Apply a thinned layer to the tips of the clouds.
Stage 3
Temple Guard Blue: Apply a line highlight to the bodysuit.
Yriel Yellow: Apply a line highlight to the leg armour and straps.
Russ Grey: Apply a spot highlight to the shoulder guard and boots.
Basic Skin Tone 70.815: Apply a thinned layer to the skin.
Rakarth Flesh: Apply a line highlight to the cloak.
Drakenhof Nightshade: Apply a shade to the gun, arm, buckles and shells.
White Scar: Apply a spot highlight to the hair.
Mephiston Red: Apply a layer to the chest X.
Energy Shield Stage 3
Baharroth Blue/White Scar: Make a 1:1 mix and apply a line highlight to the energy shield.
Yriel Yellow: Apply a spot highlight to the centre of the explosions.
Abaddon Black: Apply a thinned layer to the tips of the clouds.
Stage 4
Baharroth Blue: Apply a line highlight to the bodysuit.
Dorn Yellow: Apply a spot highlight to the leg armour and straps.
Fenrisian Grey: Apply a spot highlight to the boots and shoulder guard.
Light Flesh 70.928: Apply a line highlight to the skin.
Pallid Wych Flesh: Apply a spot highlight to the cloak.
Ironbreaker: Apply a line highlight to the gun, arm and buckles.
Canoptek Alloy: Apply a spot highlight to the shells.
Evil Sunz Scarlet: Apply a spot highlight to the chest X.
Energy Shield Stage 4
White Scar: Apply a spot highlight to the energy shield, focussing around the blast sites.
Dorn Yellow: Apply a spot highlight to the explosions.
Finish by painting the base with the Base Painting guide.
Domino
Stage 1
Incubi Darkness: Apply a basecoat to the bodysuit, straps, guns and hair.
Rhinox Hide: Apply a basecoat to the pouches.
Caledor Sky: Apply a basecoat to the bodysuit accent.
Fenrisian Grey: Apply a basecoat to the skin.
Leadbelcher: Apply a basecoat to the buckles.
Stage 2
Thunderhawk Blue: Apply a layer to the bodysuit, straps and hair.
Dawnstone: Apply a line highlight to the guns.
Mournfang Brown: Apply a layer to the pouches
Teclis Blue: Apply a layer to the bodysuit accent.
Rakarth Flesh: Apply a layer to the skin.
Nuln Oil: Apply a shade to the buckles.
Stage 3
Russ Grey: Apply a line highlight to the bodysuit, straps and hair.
Celestra Grey: Apply a spot highlight to the guns.
Steel Legion Drab: Apply a line highlight to the pouches.
Baharroth Blue: Apply a spot highlight to the bodysuit accent.
Pallid Wych Flesh: Apply a line to the skin.
Drakenhof Nightshade: Apply a shade to the metals.
Stage 4
Fenrisian Grey: Apply a spot highlight to the bodysuit, straps and hair.
Karak Stone: Apply a spot highlight to the pouches.
White Scar: Apply a spot highlight to the skin.
Ironbreaker: Apply a line highlight to the buckles.
